SHAW, George Bernard. The Simpleton of the Unexpected, the Six of Calais & The Millionairess [Association Copy]
New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1936. First American Edition. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Harry Wagstaff Gribble, the prominent playwright, director, actor, and screenwriter, to Alan Hewitt, the American film, television and stage actor, in 1936 when Hewitt appeared on Broadway for the first time under Gribble's direction of the presentation of The Taming of the Shrew. A good copy with weard to edges and corners, some writing in the content perhaps by Hewitt, and Dartmouth discard stamp (where Hewitt's papers were donated after his death). Nevertheless an interesting copy with a theater association. [Not signed by G.B. Shaw]. Good. Hardcover.
