The Scotch Haggis; a Selection of Choice Bon Mots, Irish Blunders, Repartees, Anecdotes, &c.
Glasgow: Printed for the Booksellers, [1840-1850]. “Care to our coffin adds a nail no doubt, while every laugh so merry draws one out.” A pleasant chapbook with a number of humorous, and somewhat crude, repartees, each taking up about half a page each.
16mo. [2], [3]-24pp. Dated per NLS. Scarce. “37” printed at foot of title. Clearly a cheaply produced production with differing paper sizes and some errors to the printing (which are not present in the NLS copy), stab holes present, disbound from a larger volume, with some staining throughout, otherwise very good.
