Edinburgh: Printed for J. Dick, 1814. Scarce Edinburgh printing of Thomson's perennial work. The engraved frontispiece and engraved title must have been created hastily as both Thomson's and Johnson's names are spelled incorrectly - "The seasons, by James Thompson [sic] With the Life of the Author by Dr. Samuel Johnston [sic]."
12mo. [7], xxiii, 298pp. Worldcat locates 3 copies as of August 2020. Very good in modern quarter leather. Prior owner bookplate to pastedown, contemporary owner name on title page, edges uncut/torn but in a few places too much so but not affecting text. Item #142
